Week 2–Sep 02 Lecture: Chapter Two and Review magazines for design ideas—turn in as a pdf on the file server. 1. Review Rich Black question "What's your preferred cmyk color break down for rich black." 2. Avoid Moire Patterns, scan preprinted material with descreening filter on. 3. 4/4 or 4/1 or 4/0. 4. Cmyk, process, 4 color or pantone process are all the same kind of printing.
Spot, custom, pantone solid are all the same kind of printing.
Week 3–Sep 09 Lecture: Chapter Three
Highlights: provide bleed, use correct trimsize, margin/edge p 55, 3 panel brochure size p57
Week 4–Sep 16: Chapter Four

choose color palletes for layout according to subject/theme with mood board or inspiration board

Create a 5x7 layout in INDESIGN, provide a bleed (correct size) of a colored background or image
Create a 3 panel brochure, provide a bleed, use guidelines (like in your book) to assign folds.
